London at night
I managed to get some Christmas shopping done this morning, and the shops were still relatively calm and not too crowded. It is so hard deciding on presents, but luckily most shops have extended their returns period until after Christmas so the gift can be exchanged if necessary.
What a miserable day to go to London on a night shoot – grey, misty and drizzling. It was decided to still go ahead with the shoot as the forecast was for dry weather in London, and as long as there was no fog we would be fine. The chosen area this time was the iconic new buildings in the city and the area around Tower Bridge.
We had fun shooting the modern Lloyds building with all its curves and blue lighting, then the Gherkin building and finally Billingsgate Market with all its Christmas lights, and then moved on to get some photos of Tower Bridge, the London Tower, and some of the remaining poppies in its moat.
I got home at midnight and have quickly uploaded this image of Tower Bridge, and now I need to get to sleep - I will add some more images to flickr tomorrow.
