Every day is a school day

You know what?! I'm mega inspired!
I spent some time at a little salvage/furniture/home shop today in the village where the proprietor, Emma talked to me all about the fine techniques of chalk painting furniture (& just about anything else you want to paint really!)
Alexander & I have flirted with this a little over the past few months but neither of us have known the "detail" of techniques so have perhaps, well me anyway! felt uncertain of experimentation.
I'm a zillion times more confident now after proper hands on practice. Waxing, paint techniques & special finishes....(& certain tricks of the trade)
The shop is like to die for aswell & I love all that this woman has done- plus she's so lovely. We chatted for hours, whilst she "taught" me & I even had lunch with her.
There's so many pieces of shitty-looking wooden furniture in the house that would look amazing with my new found knowledge.
Just one thing at a time, Suzanne....you don't have to do everything all at once.
