Cinema night

I've been quiet on the blip front this week as I've been super busy at work so lack of things to blip. Had a trip to the cinema tonight to see the new Hunger Games film (the 3rd one), it was excellent! We went to the Metrocentre Odeon to see it. This new cinema is very fancy with 3D and Imax screens (with prices to match!)We watched the first Hunger Games movie at Bridlington in East Yorkshire. We almost didn't find the "cinema" as it was in a small room in the back of the amusement arcade, was quite cosy though.

I took a photo to blip of the Metrocentre. Its changed so much over the years, since it opened in 1986. This cinema is on the site of the previous Metroland, an indoor theme park which I loved and used to get to visit on my birthday when I was a child! Metro land opened in 1988 but closed down in 2008. It was the largest indoor fairground in Europe. My favourite was the rollercoaster. On the site of the old metroland they moved the cinema in and closed the old cinema which was in the blue mall. Eight years ago, this picture would be a wall of mirrors with the "metroland" logo across.

My husband isn't local, he cant understand why the metro doesn't go to the "metro"centre. Its a good question, I wonder why?
