It's winter!

Despite the forecast that we are to have a 'Sparkling Saturday' tomorrow, I can confirm that winter has officially arrived...well, in my garden at least! This is lonicera fragrantissima or Winter Flowering Honeysuckle. It's a pretty insignificant bush for most of the year and then, when most things have packed up and gone until next season, these tiny little flowers appear. They may be small but the fragrance they punch is awesome.
A friend gave me a cutting many years ago from her glorious garden and when we moved to this house I brought a cutting with me and kept my fingers crossed that it would strike! It did!
