Ramekins

It has been a difficult weekend, visiting granddad in hospital. Seeing him in pain. The staff are amazing. Total superstars.

And then we returned home to another superstar, who had made lasagne for the 5000, and amused my mother as she prepared for a imminent job interview.

Possibly, the real highlight though was when I was looking for the salad bowl I discovered that my mother is hoarding ramekins, which I don't think I have ever seen her use. When asked why we needed such a stockpile she replied they were "useful", I pressed her and she elaborated that they could be used for crème caramels - which we've maybe eaten twice. So, crème caramel party at mine then?
