Philip

Year 2 have been learning about the Victorians and today one of the mums brought in her traditional apple press. The children had a great time taking it in turns to mash and press the apples and an even better time drinking the juice!

Philip and I had apple trees at Cropthorne and, if we managed to get to them before the badgers and crows, enjoyed making crumbles and sauce.

With a press like this though I think we may have tried our hand at cider!
