Edinburgh Christmas Markets

It's that time of year where the whole of Europe gets into the festive spirit. In Edinburgh, lights are put up and the Christmas Market opens.

After waiting a few weeks watching them set up the market we finally had the chance to head in and have a look around. The market - or better known as the German Market - is filled with goods ranging from gifts to food and drink all made in or by Germans.

German food and mulled wine. Warm hot chocolate and marshmallows. Sausages and cakes. It's all so yummy and smells amazing!

There's even some rides like the one above. The wheel which gives you amazing views of Princes St, the gardens and the castle.

Although some things are a bit pricey it's definitely worth a visit... or two or three!
