Spoor of the Bookworm

By Bookworm1962

Off to Heathrow again this morning to pick up Kit, there seems to be some sort of rule now that any time I have to go the airport there's thick fog...I think I'll call it the Casablanca effect...Pulling out of the street there was this perfectly composed shot of the bright disc of the sun burning through the upper fog with the road and street furniture dimly seen through the har...but I was driving so I didn't get it...a few minutes later, coming down the long back of Chilton Hill the trunks of the trees were beautifully half lit by the morning sun, casting long dark shadows across the still misty road....but I was driving...So here instead is a half eaten Air Canada banana bread, in order to give me which my daughter flew 3,500 miles over the Atlantic, Greenland and Ireland...it was surprisingly scrummy.

The cats have now forgiven Kit for abandoning them and have as a consequence abandoned me.
