December 1st.

It's the first of December so Advent and the Christmas build up is now in full swing.

This picture was not taken in the evening though but at 7.25 am!

I was waiting for my fellow walkers outside our village's 'other' garden centre - we have one at each end of the village. It was pretty dark still but this was the brightest thing we saw even as it came light. The walk took us up to the edge of Wilsden Hill and would normally afford extensive views of both villages but it seems we have reverted to the gloom after yesterday's sunny weather. It was quite wet and muddy underfoot too.

The forecasters say the weather should turn more seasonal this week with frost which will hopefully bring some sunnier weather with it, but no doubt there will be plenty of lights and colourful Christmas trees popping up all over the place to brighten things up.
