Life Is A Minestrone

Alfie made minestrone soup today at school. As usual I was rushing around this morning gathering ingredients and I asked him to read them out to me:
'350g mixed veg
A tin of tomatoes
Stock cube
100g spaghetti
Marzipan to serve....'


MARZIPAN????!!!

Hold on a minute. You need marzipan??
"Oh no, sorry, I mean Parmesan."

I imagine it might have ended up some thing like this if I had sent him in with a lump of marzipan. It actually turned out really well but Alfie wouldn't even try it. Too many vegetables I think. (And not enough marzipan)
