Around the Bays

Holiday over, the kids went home last but I stayed up as I head down to Taupo/Ruapehu tomorrow for several meetings. Relatively nice day in Auckland and a great day for their annual fund run, "around the bays", aptly named as it is indeed around the Auckland waterfront. The waterfront road is closed while 70 000 mad runners and walkers traverse the 8km or so.

Quick photo, not on my 7D you might notice, very sadly it has died. Yep, bummer. Error 20, which indicates mechanical failure. It will be going back to the shop this week, and let's hope they replace it with no fuss.

Then out for a walk on the waterfront to watch the Americas Cup boats race the short course Louis Vuitton races. It's a great format, and you can watch it online for free. Very cool to be watching it from the house as well as on the internet.

Picking up a car this afternoon, off to Taupo first think tomorrow. Camera? Might have to be the crappy iPhone for the next 3 days ...

Just back blipped the last week of holiday photos sailing in the BOI, ahh, I'd like to be back there already!
