Mothering Sunday
Early morning 'phone call from first born beautiful boy to wish me a happy Mother's Day and then enjoyed a lovely Mothering Sunday treat of being taken to lunch by second born beautiful boy. We walked down from the flat to the Shore at Leith and after lunch had a bracing walk alongside the water. Boy, was it cold! This old pier is along the walkway off Ocean Drive (I'm sure there's a song in there somewhere). I love the lichen growing on the old, rotting wood and the symmetry of this structure. I have been beaten to this shot by, amongst others Lady Findhorn whose lovely blip was taken on a much more calm day.
Preparing now for two week's detox. Hm, when I say 'preparing' I mean enjoying a last glass or two of wine before fourteen day's abstinence. Somehow, I think, I might be missing the point....
