Edinburgh Day 4 - Flying high again...
No, I didn't go on the Sky Flyer again but I admit I was tempted after my big breakfast (with haggis) as I wandered through town this morning.
Today I went up into the Pentland Hills and had a lovely lunch at the Flotterstone Inn after a leisurely stroll around Glencorse Reservoir. It was a beautiful day which was crisp and bright. It was a perfect day for a wander in the hills and the time of year meant you passed few people on the way but could see groups of brightly dressed walkers and climbers in the distance over the hills amidst the sheep and flocks of landing geese.
My biggest problem this evening was choosing a picture amongst the many I had taken. It was a perfect day with a perfect lunch and then a pretty good film - The Drop - followed by a beautiful Edinburgh moon to further contemplate matters.
It's not the same as a Brummie moon, I assure you. It's a moon telling me I'm in the right place and to hang on in there. Home is where the heart is, not just where you keep your bag of mealworms!
So it was a positive me which returned 'home' to A-Haven this evening; positive I was going to have trouble picking a picture and be unable to stop missing somewhere I never truly leave anyway.
That's all for now.
Hopefully, this link to more of yesterday's Sky Flyer pictures will work.
