Learning about my camera

I just started using a Sony camera and I am trying to learn how to focus it. I have now figured out that the camera has this DMF mode where it will focus automatically and then go into manual focus mode so I can tweak it with the lens control ring. Not much of a photo but I am going to try to post a photo per day and this was all I could come up with today.
