December bonfire

Conservation today meant some destruction, burning the reeds we cleared.
When a bonfire was suggested, we were highly delighted. Plenty of volunteers to keep it burning.Came home smelling like a smoked kipper, but great fun.

To keep up the theme we tackled logs today in our maths for fun group.
The teacher was inspired to do this because I had taken her an ancient (1951) book, which had all the log tables in the back. (a charity shop find)
We all had some recollections about them - but they were pretty vague. I am sure I will soon forget it all again very soon!
