Miss Britain III
A big birthday made an excuse for a week away.
After a night with the family in Farnborough we had 2 nights in Greenwich. First place we visited was the National Maritime Museum where found Miss Britain III apparently about to launch herself into space. Powered by a Rolls Royce aero engine, this was the first boat to go over 100mph in salt water, in 1933. We also visited the Cutty Sark and had a bit of a wander round, on a chilly, damp and cold day.
