It's got to be close to the end for the leaves: the last few days have been bitterly cold and windy, and nearly all of the trees are bare. It's winter at last.

+3/3 has a nut allergy; fortunately his body is a very finely tuned nut detector and he understands he's not allowed to eat nuts so never makes a fuss about not being able eat things that may contain nuts.

Unfortunately sometimes nutty things slip through: a non-nut chocolate that on closer inspection had the standard disclaimer - not suitable for nut allergy sufferers. He took one nibble, said it was horrible and didn't have any more - this is usually the sign as if he likes something it's eaten pretty quickly and if he's just pretending to not like something he'll be a bit silly and say it's 'sgusting or something like that. But if it's straight out it's usually the sign.

We're lucky in that the allergy doesn't appear to affect his breathing but it will make him pretty sick until his body is sure the nutty food is gone. The upside is that once he's been sick he's much better almost immediately. Poor lamb.

I caught up on the last few days and noticed that November was my first gap free month in a very long time.

Music for today: some early Prince which takes us to Sly and the Family Stone and then directly to the Beastie Boys.
