Eastbourne Pier

Rather surprised that the pier is open with the extensive repair work well under way. It's really nice to see the pier being saved from possible dereliction. The powers that be have done well to get the works started quickly after the event, unlike the cases of its neighbours in Brighton and Hastings.
Amazingly further down the pier towards the end there is actually a designated smokers area.
