Hayfield before the hail.

This is the view across the roof tops of Hayfield this afternoon just before the skies darkened and the hail and rain came. On the way home it became obvious that it had fallen as snow on the tops.

The copse of trees on the hillside is known locally as Twelve Trees ... because there are twelve trees!

We went on off chance of seeing Waxwing as there was a report to Derbyshire Ornithological Society but didn't find any.
