Royal Birthday Bash

Today, on 5 December 2014, HM King Bhumipol of Thailand turned 87. It is not only a public holiday in the country but also a day that has been declared Father's Day. (Mother's Day is on Queen Sirikit's birthday).
Among the many celebrations, there was a Thai epic musical at Benjakiti Park. It was actually composed by HM the King, who is also a musician and a saxophone player. They had built a stage in the middle of the lake to host the performance that lasts a few hours. The entry to the show is free and open to the public.
I have Canadian friends, who live in a condo with a tremendous view over the lake and the city. They are away for a few days but let me have the key to their apartment to see part of the musical. It is a bit too far to see it well. However, the sound and lights were very clear from the balcony.
