Olympic Park

I finished early on Friday due to parent teacher meetings so I took the subway a few stops to the Olympic Park to see where the magic happened in 2008. The Bird's Nest and Water Cube are both impressive bits of architecture. It is a bit strange and eerie around there though, it feels like walking around a party after everyone has gone home. The subway station is huge with only a couple of people milling about and the vast wide avenues are almost deserted. It was an interesting way to spend the afternoon.
