Boom Lake Banff

Another lovely day - we have been lucky with the weather. Did a " hike " - as they call it over here - to Boom Lake Lovely walk through pine forests to a very remote lake surrounded by snow covered mountains. Seemingly this area is heavy with bears. Thankfully did not see any on walk but a large black bear walked across the dual carriageway on our way back to Banff. Visited Johnston Canyon on way home. There is a steel walkway just above the river which adds to the excitement of a torrential flow of water. Walked up to the top waterfall and got drenched by the spray. Definitely worth seeing
