"That's breakfast sorted!!"

Whilst finishing off cooking pancakes for the brood this morning, I heard my good lady wife calling me back to the kitchen, as she had spotted a Sparrowhawk landing in our garden!

Now its not the first time that this bird has been seen swooping into the place, but this time it had its own breakfast with it....and for the next hour or so it it found a quiet space in the corner and "munched" and "chewed" on this starling that it had caught.

Needless to say it was at this point that mutterings of "I wish I had a bigger lens!!" were heard coming from my lips!!

But with a bit of digital zoom..this was the image that I will keep for the day!!
