Light in the dark

A scratchy, faffing and bad news sort of a day, the kind to create tense shoulders and a sore head, although all but the sore head improved in the evening.

I may add more later, but no time now.

The blurry view of Rio's wonderful Christmas tree, floating in the lagoon between Ipanema and the Corcovado hill, with the Christ the Redeemer statue (the small light blur top right) was the best I could do today. Taken in a hurry with an i-Phone (obviously no tripod), and the taxi that was bearing us to a Rock Night waiting behind. The tree is fabulous, though (as for the New Year's Eve fireworks show, one has to close one's mind to all the misspent funds that go into it). The colours and designs change all the time, and there is even music at some point. It will be worth finding a moment to appreciate it at more length.
