Addingham Church Window
That is the present church. The original one was washed away in the 13th Century along with the village of Addinham when the River Eden changed its course due to a stupendous flood. The original church was a lot lower down. The church was rebuilt on higher ground with some stones salvaged from the river.
It must have been very spectacular.
