Month of Christmas Begins

Several weeks ago my friend, Peg, told me of a very special Christmas gift she was putting together to send to her grandkids in Houston, TX. She thought I'd like to do the same for Tristan, our 7-year-old great-grandson. She was right.

She told me she had gathered and individually wrapped 25 books for each day of December for the kids to open and read aloud. She told me where to look for bargains on books and even encouraged me to shop at "The Friends of the Library Store." And I did. I also shopped at Barnes and Noble. So I gift-wrapped all the books and put them in a big box and we mailed them the day before Thanksgiving to Tristan.

This morning the "Month of Christmas" began at his house and these are a few of the photos I received. I also received a video of him reading the book out-loud.

This is going to be a fun month.
