Christmas Rose

Haven't done much focus stacking for a while. I wanted to use Helicon Remote on an Android device, linked to my camera. With this app you choose the near and far points of your subject that you want in focus and let the program do the rest. It chooses how many shots are needed and also controls the focus point automatically, taking each shot in sequence. It allows for sharp focus across the subject while keeping everything else well out of focus.

Technically, it is a great tool, though I do think it leaves the overall image a little lacking in artistry.

It is worth looking large.
