Festive shop fronts

I think every shop looks more welcoming with Christmas trees outside it. This is the Sprüngli chocolatier branch in Basel SBB. As if I needed an excuse to go in there!

Day 3: At Christmas, Jesus came to earth. Fully God and fully man. God came closer to us in a physical sense, not that he was that far away anyway. Many people think of God as distant and angry. He is a God of love. Such love that he died on a cross for us and longs for us to draw near to him again. He's not far away. Even if we feel alone, he welcomes his children with open arms. The story of the prodigal son was told by Jesus to explain God's grace in giving us a second chance at a relationship with him when we don't deserve it - be it for the first time, or the hundredth time we've wandered away.
