Herbert

Herbert retired as Registrar of the University of Liverpool in 1984 after a very distinguished 22 years in that post. He had conferred on him an honorary Doctor of Civil Law degree.

He was greatly respected throughout the university world. The Registrar is like the Cabinet Secretary in a university, the most senior administrator.

In his 30th year of retirement he has launched into the world of i-Pads!

Another of that profession, and a fellow blipper, working out that we lived in close proximity, suggested a meet-up. I was glad that he did.
