Boxes galore

Work was satisfyingly productive and I managed to pick up the rest of the photo frames I wanted for my presents for the family at lunchtime too. All at half price!

I heard yesterday that the possible new job didn't come off. There wasn't an opening in the first place and much as they said they liked me they didn't think they could justify taking me on with their current workload. I find I'm not actually that disappointed which means I must be feeling happier at work. I think that's because work levels have picked up. We're going to keep our eyes and ears out anyway over the coming months but, for now, I'm fine about staying put for a while longer.

When I got home, I decided to insist that my lodger stops decorating at least until the new year as I think he's been overdoing it and I don't want to be responsible for increasing his stress levels and lack of sleep. He said he'd been thinking about timings too and we're going to have a chat later.

I must say I'm looking forward to a short day tomorrow. What a lightweight! My blip is of what is left to clear out of the front room. It's beginning to get me down but I'll tackle another couple of boxes tonight.
