Pictorial blethers

4pm

A vile day of rain and wind ended at 4pm when darkness had more or less descended. This is the view through my rain-spattered window of the sea that had been battering the shore road all afternoon and, on the horizon, the lights of the Western Ferries that have, apparently, kept going throughout. Travel has been horribly disrupted for people here, however, with replacement buses instead of the town-railhead ferry service (Argyll Ferries, remember, go off at a puff of wind) and, I believe, the inability of the Dunoon-Glasgow buses to go on Western because of the weather. (I could be wrong in this, going only by hearsay).

Tomorrow much worse is promised. Don't think I'll be going far.
