Such a beautiful day today, sun and clear skies. I'm sure the temperature didn't rise above freezing, the frost only melted in the place that the sun shone on. We were working on scaffolding in a pumped-out canal lock, so it was low and therefore pretty cold. I did a lot of hammering and removed a correspondingly small quantity of bricks. I'm sure power tools would have ben much more effective, but there was some satisfaction to be gained from doing it by hand.
