Santa Baby

Bertie likes his Santa hat but he'd rather lie on it than wear it.

After the school run this morning I cleaned the chicken house out and found a chicken dead in the run. It wasn't injured so we think she may have got shut out last night and died of cold. It's always a bit of a shock to find one like that but I think we've been really lucky having only lost 3 out of 10 in 3 years.

Amazingly, it wasn't the henpecked speckledy who still continues to struggle on despite having hardly any feathers.
