We were summoned for a pre-Christmas get-together by the Lagoon that lies between Ipanema/Leblon and the Corcovado mountain. Top marks to Moira, who arranged it, she coaxed loads of friends out of their hidey-holes and we had a great time. So did hundreds of other people who had gathered all round the shores of the Lagoon to enjoy the floating Christmas tree, with it's ever-changing lights and colours. I took quite a few shots of the tree, but the evening was about friends, so I'm cheating slightly by posting one of Moira's pics (I foolishly only took the long lens, to get close-ups of the tree, but that was no good for shots of our group).
