Reflections of winter
Early this morning it rained quite hard, so when I walked Murdoch later we saw so many puddles about. I like the reflections of the bare trees in the puddles.
Luke had to be at Oxford Uni on Wednesday afternoon, and yesterday he had two interviews which he feels did not go well. He has applied to read Modern languages (French and German) yet the German interview was on an English piece of prose by an English writer he did not know, so he did not get a chance to show off his knowledge of German literature and his better than average command of the German language. Now he has to sit there until Saturday in case another college wants to interview him, and keep checking the notice board for any further interview notifications, so he can't wander around the town or stray out the college in case he misses the notice being put up - it really is the most archaic and inefficient system. At Cambridge, Adam had a month's notice that he would be given two interviews on a certain day and was given the exact times, which is just so much more efficient.
A lazy night of watching TV beckons, and then a rather early start to go to Oxford tomorrow to go fetch Luke.
