Hemmant Station

Another of the local stations, Hemmant. Well the station is behind me in the image and this is a train heading into it. I shot two versions of this to expose for the foreground and the sky, then combined them the same as yesterday. The effect works for me although it looks a bit unreal. Notice the haze in the sky from all the brushfires burning around town. This is a bit early in the year for bushfires but with the next to no rain for a month and a half, everything is tinder dry. This morning the city was covered by a fog of smokey pollution from the fires.

Jo has given me her work newsletter to do which is good because I get to play with my new software. This new Photoshop is really good fun although my poor PC is feeling the pain. I might have to think about upgrading soonish. Or maybe I can chuck some more RAM at it.

I went for an interview this morning. It took and hour and a half! I was quite tired by the time I left. They seem very interested in me, but it is a 40 minute commute to get there. I should probably hold out for something closer. This place looked very nice though. We'll see what they offer.
