Christmas village

When I was a child the Christmas tree always had a village around it. The train went around the edge, the station had lead figurines around it and there was always a tunnel through the mountains. Yes, we built mountains. I don't have any of the original paper houses.much to my regret they are long gone. But I have some reproductions which are close to what we had,and I was lucky enough to find a few in an antique store last year. I still have the lead figures and some pewter reproductions and they are put up yearly! I miss the trains though and there are no sand roads for the cars . Somewhat low budget version of the original. But it feels like home .
