Pretty Patina

The twins were skating this morning and were on the ice before 8. I left them warming up and went walking. I love this war memorial and it sits in a small walled park not far from the rink. The gales fo recent days had scattered the poppy wreaths across the park and I did my best to place them back at the foot of the memorial as I have seen them in the past.

I love the rampant lions on the corner, framed here by the chains that extend t0 the plinth of the memorial itself. I love the patina and love walking in this place I hope you enjoy it on this frosty of mornings with crunch under my feet the only sound around me
