Fold, Stick, Stamp
Mixed busy day today. First off we swapped the spare washing machine into the cottage, then the Doobry Man came and explained doobryness.
Then we went to The Fold in Bransford, just north of Malvern. Our excuse was to talk to the director about the biomass boiler they have there, but is was a pleasing place to wander around.
The biomass discussion confirmed, yes, you do really need a barn if you're going down the woodchip route. They had one and it was full.
Interestingly though, their boiler was rated 50kW - less than the one proposed for here, and successfully heating a much bigger space - illustrating the value of insulation. In general, we're revising how best to spend a limited budget on energy-saving here. We're awaiting estimates from specialist secondary-glazing people.
We had lunch at The Fold - pricey but wholesome and a completely free choice of what and how much you can add to your plate.
Then into Malvern to pick up the Dell House Christmas Cards from the local printers - and good they are too.
Then home to start stuffing them.

S arrived here tonight from Falmouth. Or rather, he arrived at Cheltenham Spa... a little after the last train to Malvern had left.
Daad...?
