Poorly Pine tree

This tree is in the Northwest corner of our garden.
Can you see the bare branches? Especially at lower to mid levels the tree has shed vast quantities of needles this year. This is unusual and we suspect that the tree is dying and may become unsafe.
Have contacted an "arborist" professional, for an opinion, but do fear that we are going to lose the tree. Further bulletins will follow that consultation.
