Fine dining
Work was work til I left at lunch. I got a call to say B's house sale had gone through so dropped the keys into the agents. Another milestone reached after her death.
I took a couple of pillows to the laundrette for cleaning and whilst they were washing I did some shopping for the Guinness cake I'm making for afternoon tea on Christmas Eve. While waiting for the pillows to fluff in the tumble driers I took in the madness that was the busy launderette (especially the two young traveller girls and their offspring who seemed to be doing six months washing in one hit) while warming my back against the drier. Not sure I could deal with that every week.
When I got home, I made both the iced Christmas pudding and the Guinness cake and took pleasure in ticking those jobs off my 'to do' list this week. L arrived in a foul mood, owing to some row on the phone with his eldest. After tea he decided to help with putting the pictures back up in the newly decorated dining room (see blip and compare with 16 November blip shot taken from the same spot) and I am delighted with how it looks now. It's never really been a finished room side I moved in and it is now. It's certainly ready for the family's arrival on Friday. This makes me happy :))
I'm catching up with a bit of telly too.
