Mountain in the Mist

Four hours of train journeys this morning from Basel to Zermatt, changing three times to reach our destination in the High Alps and five hours on the return journey were well worth the effort.

There was no mistaking the awesome sight of the mighty Matterhorn, known as the Mountain of Mountains - 4,478 metres high at its summit.

Here's Peter setting up the tripod whilst we waited for the best shot we could get. The patchy cloud cover prevented an unobstructed view of the Matterhorn but we got many shots of the summit of this majestic peak.
