16th Tuba Christmas in Basel

Over 90 tuba players from all over Switzerland converged on Basil city centre to enchant their audience with celestial Christmas music.

They gathered at the Munsterplatz and began their parade, down through the narrow streets to the Marktplatz.

We, and hundreds of others, followed the band into town from the Munsterplatz, as they bellowed out their introductory tune of Jingle Bells.

It was great fun.
