An anomaly

I've heard of red squirrels, grey squirrels, brown squirrels, and even black squirrels, but this is the only brown and white squirrel I have ever seen. We first saw him in the park last fall, and he is still there. He seems to get along just fine with the "normal" squirrels. Most, but not all, of his body is white, but the tail is a luxuriant healthy-looking brown. He is a lively critter too. There are a few more pictures of him here if you are curious.

Postscript: I drove to the park this morning for the first time since I broke my arm in January. Ahhhh, FREEDOM! Then I walked up the steps by the sledding hill and stopped and took a picture at the spot where I had the accident. Have to admit, I was a little nervous. It is kind of like getting back on the horse after it throws you off. Although I still have more therapy to do to get my right arm back in sync with the left arm, I think I can safely say I am no longer a broken arm blipper. No more to say tonight. It is getting late, and I really need some sleep. Night, all!
