Spring Equinox

I thought that this was an appropriate image for the Spring Equinox. This is the time of year when I suffer from grass envy, noting the green shoots that seem to be appearing everywhere except on this exposed hillside. I am green with envy of those farmers in more benign situations, and frequently consider renaming the croft 'Cold Comfort Farm' as I survey the mud, torn roofing felt and broken guttering that are amongst the legacies of a long hard winter.
One of the few signs of Spring that is here is the glorious dawn chorus.
