Skate-o-tainment...

I thought I had it sussed.

Either find skate parks that are not used that often or get to them early enough so nobody is there anyway. I get a wee skate in, the kids get to climb around wee skate objects.

Nah...

We tried this tactic up at Dunfermline this morning but with a combination of the skatepark being concrete, all of it accessible in one way or another by a 2 and 3 year old and it's size, it proved to be on the wrong side of a good idea.

The wee one near MrsTFP's work is a lot better for this sort of thing. The ramps are metal so the bigger ones are too slippy to climb, the smaller ones are maintained well enough and are low enough to be used as slides whilst the place is small enough to keep an easy eye on both of them.

The other option is the local school yards. Custom designed for kids but also having 'furniture' that lends itself to a wee mess-a-skate-about.

That's next weekend's plan anyway.
