Peppermint Stick Ice Cream

Today was a different kind of Sunday --- a smaller turnout at church (only 1 little girl in my class), but then we had a nice brunch afterwards. Once I got home, I was just unmotivated to do much of anything. Once my husband went off for the night to youth group, I made the poor kids have cereal/fruit/oatmeal for dinner & skipped dinner altogether myself. I finally picked up my energy in the evening to clean up the chaos of piling laundry and toys. Once the kiddos went to bed I remembered I had my favorite ice cream in the fridge - "Peppermint Stick"...so technically that was my dinner. I suppose that is o.k. once in a while. I try not to keep ice cream in my freezer for temptation sake, but I was shocked to find this in the Dollar Store of all places. Hopefully I'll be back to myself tomorrow before the kids boycott my kitchen :D
