...Honkers!
It was chucking it down with rain as Stevo dropped me off at Terminal 3, which was just what I needed to get me into holiday mode. Jen and I hit the bar for some pre-flight drinks and then it was 11hrs of seat-back entertainment at 39,000 feet. I caught some zeds for a few hours, but still felt a bit rank as we arrived in HK on Saturday afternoon. Well, it was getting on for 30-odd hours that I'd been on the go and in the same clothes.
It was good to be back - I worked there for a month in 2006 (before I was a Blipper) - so I was able to navigate the excellent public transport system to get to the relevant MTR station without too much bother. Rosie met us there and took us to her brother's flat, which was to be our accommodation for our stopover.
Supper and beer at a Japanese yakitori - delish. Drinks and late-night Six Nation action (given the time diff) in Wan Chai, in familiar bars, until about 3.30am when it was time for bed, via Ebeneezers for a kebab. Happy days!
