The Peak
Our initial plan to get up at a respectable hour of the morning fell by the wayside after a late night and/or jetlag; we finally got ourselves up and out at lunchtime. Armed with chocolate and vanilla frappucino thingys from Starbucks, we skirted the queues for the Peak Tram by taking a taxi to the top and got to see the brilliant view, in blue skies before the mist rolled in. And roll in it did. We'd gone for an al-fresco lunch and it started to get a bit nippy, as we paid up and left, to get tickets for the tram down it was as thick as pea soup and you couldn't see your hand, let alone the city below!
Met up with Rosie in the late afternoon and we went for a Kiss Kiss Fish Spa. She'd done it before and recommended it as a cool way to spend half an hour. Essentially, you plonk your feet in a fish tank and let several little (not tiny) fish to nibble away! Strange, but strangely relaxing. Comical too.
Did the Star Ferry back to the island and had a great Thai supper - just a family-run place with plastic chairs, with a calculator for a till. Jen and I ended the night with a couple of nightcaps at Wan Chai and Lan Kwai Fong - a couple of old haunts and busy, despite it being a Sunday evening.
