oh. hi spring!

walked outside, bundled up in sweater, scarf, jacket. turns out, it was 63 degrees. who knew? i was seriously shocked. i couldnt get over it. i was convinced it was going to be freezing today. im pretty sure i even checked the weather before i left. fooled!

in a good way.

enjoyed a pleasant walk to school around the reservoir. the wind was blowing steadily, picking up the leaves, and swirling them about me. but the wind was distinctly warm. it had the thick, warm feel to it. oh it was so nice.

the smell of the air though was decidedly winter-ish. i was very much reminded of a day in late october when i sensed, with regret, that fall was ending that day. that winter was steadily approaching. i feared it. today i realized i was on the other side. winter was ending, and spring is steadily approaching.

on the walk home tonight it smelled of spring. oh it's one of my favorite smells. everything feels fresh and wet and clean and new.

i breathed deep.
